Why we opened a Lightyear business can be expressed in one word. Timing. You see, we've missed the "perfect timing" before. Many years ago, we were introduced to a direct marketing company offering telecommunications products. Working part-time, we provided income for our family while Gary pursued a Ph.D. and Laura became a stay at home mom. We were very thankful for our success, but always wished we had been involved in the earlier years of that company.

Three and one half years ago, we found ourselves needing to create additional income to cover the growing needs of college age children, but didn't want to send Laura back to her previous profession of nursing. Understanding the incredible power of direct marketing and the telecommunications revolution, we began searching for a business that would provide the income we needed.

When we saw Lightyear, it just made sense. It was the perfect timing. Lightyear was still approaching the period of explosive growth, which we missed with our previous company. Everyone we knew had a phone and an expanding array of communication products. Through Lightyear, we could earn income from a diversity of products such as VoIP, prepaid international calling cards, traditional landline services, etc. We never dreamed, however, that we would one day have our own wireless product.

The "perfect timing" has finally come! With the launch of Lightyear Wireless, we can now earn residual income from wireless bills. Do we know anyone who has a cell phone? Almost everyone! Imagine making up to 10% on customer's cell phone bills every month!

One more piece of our story. Gary is taking a "sabbatical" from teaching and we are both working our Lightyear business full-time. Our family is not missing the most lucrative year in the history of communications! Why do we share our story?
